Let's move along. Next came the voicemail. Voicemail is an important thing for businesses today. Formerly voicemail systems were very expensive and cumbersome to use. Well Panasonic has ended that business. At just under $700 and being completely GUI computer programmable, this little voicemail is quite nice.

I again installed IT's software and drivers (again in reverse, I recommend you read up on that bit carefully) and connected after putting in the proper password. I then reset the time for the my night time greetings, I recorded my night time greeting, setup up a lunch greeting, recorded the lunch greeting. I then swapped to the phone system and setup 3 new buttons on the main phone for DAY NIGHT and LUNCH for manual override if needed and bang, it was so!

We've now been using the KXTA 824 in our office for a few weeks and here's a few observations I can give you.

The LED lights on the buttons are very nice and easy to understand.

The backlit display is wonderful.

The phones are flexible, simple to understand and work as advertised.

The phones do feel a little cheap compared to a Norstar set or a Partner phone (which both have weights inside of them to make them feel heavy) but this hasn't really bothered me much at all.

The voicemail is tidy and easy to use. It has plenty of storage for messages and clicks right along as it's supposed to.

I liked the system so much, I had one installed in my house.

Let's talk about that for a second. Not only did the KXTA824 work admirably in the office, in a home environment, it's perfect. This has to be the perfect home system I have ever seen. The perfection has to do with the combination of price, ease of use, corldess phones that work and the ability to integrate door and gate monitoring devices.

The KXTA 824 will integrate perfectly with the Pansonic door phones, gate phones and video equipment. Panasonic makes a doorphone with a camera built right into it. You can then couple this with one of three monitoring stations or plug it right into your CCTV system. Works like a charm.

So all in all I must give the KXTA 824 phone system a huge thumbs up. The build quality is great, installation is a snap and the day to day use in pleasant and simple, just the way we like it!

The price can' be beat. At just around $1000 for the phone system and 3 phones it's tough to go wrong!

P.S.
We specialize in installing the Pansonic 824 phone systems in Homes and businesses here in Houston.
