Demi Moore is to make her directorial debut, with a movie starring her daughter.
The actor will go behind the camera for Streak, a short film featuring 20-year-old Rumer Willis – Demi’s eldest child with ex-husband Bruce Willis – and the 45-year-old star thinks the experience will bring them closer.
“The great thing is Im seeing her mature and operate as a complete professional, he said. And its giving us, I think, another opportunity to connect in a totally different way.
The House Bunny star agreed with her mother, adding: I think other times when your moms telling you what to do, youre like, God Mom, come on! But when the creative side kind of comes with it, Ive been really impressed and its a really interesting thing to see.
Streak is part of Glamour magazine’s Reel Moments venture, with the films written by, and based on the lives of, readers of the publication.
Three short films are being made, with Demi joined in the director’s chair by actress Courteney Cox and screenwriter Kiwi Smith, who are also undertaking the role for the first time.
Streak – which will also star Brittany Snow, Madeline Zima and Sarah Wright – follows a college senior whose brave act leads to her finally accepting herself.

Fiery car crash in Brookline's Coolidge Corner kills one, injures seven. "A 79-year-old Newton man was killed and a 52-year-old Wellesley woman seriously injured in a fiery three-car crash in Coolidge Corner Thursday afternoon. Five children and a 32-year-old woman also sustained minor injuries, according to Brookline Police Capt. John O'Leary. Theodore Green was pronounced dead at 9:18 p.m. at Brigham Women's Hospital. I see it all the time in the town I live in, cars full of teenagers goofing of thinking theyre cool. They are so so inexperienced to begin with and then you add in all the things Sue mentioned. All I can say is the law wouldnt hurt. Its may not help in every situation, but if it saves just one life isnt it worth it? I have a 16 year old niece who doesnt even want to drive yet because its such a huge responsibility, she knows shes not ready. Im grateful to that. My heart breaks for this girls family and friends, and makes me even more scared at the thought that my son will be able to drive in 8 years. The last 8 years flew by, I only hope the next 8 will go very slow!.
